Tomorrow - Becoming Me

Tomorrow - I will put on a bra one final time,
Ready for what the day will bring.
I will shed this piece of who I was
And prepare for my body’s transforming.

For tomorrow, I will start to look like me.

Tomorrow - I will look in the mirror one last time
To see a reflection staring back at me
That shows the body of someone other
Than the person I know myself to be.

For tomorrow, I will be born anew.

Tomorrow - I will go through a time of rebirth,
Through this messy and wonderful journey.
I will be hurting and bloody and bruised,
But beautiful, brave, and incredibly free.

For tomorrow, I will finally become me.
